What are the terms and conditions of the "Funniest Workplace Messages" competition?
Thankbox Funny Messages Competition – Terms & Conditions
1. The Organiser
The organiser is 17 Seas Ltd, trading as Thankbox, an online card and gifting platform.
2. Eligibility
The competition is open to residents anywhere in the world aged 18 or over. Employees of Thankbox and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter
To enter, participants must submit a humorous message to one of the four Thankbox ecards:
Leaving Laughs
Birthday Banter
Funny Farewell
Memorable Welcome
Submissions must be original and entered via the Thankbox Funny Messages competition page - https://www.thankbox.com/funniest-workplace-messages-2025. AI can be used to generate ideas, but the message must have added human sparkle!
4. Entry Period
The competition opens at 9am on Wednesday 30th April and closes at 12pm on Tuesday 13th May. Entries received after this time will not be considered.
5. Prizes
There will be one (1) winner and one (1) runner-up selected for each of the four card categories:
Winner: £100 voucher
Runner-up: £50 voucher
Vouchers will be sent via email and the recipient will be able to redeem their e-gift from the thousands of Thankbox voucher partners worldwide.
6. Judging Criteria
Entries will be judged by the Thankbox team based on originality, humour, and relevance to the card theme. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Winner Notification
Winners will be contacted via email within 7 days of the competition closing. If a winner does not respond within 14 days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate entrant.
8. Rights and Usage
By entering, participants grant Thankbox a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, publish, and share submitted messages for promotional purposes across its website, social media, and marketing materials, with credit where possible.
9. Data Protection
Any personal data provided will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will only be used for the purpose of administering this competition.
10. General
Thankbox reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without notice. The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any third-party social media platforms.

What makes a good entry?
If it made your team laugh, smile or screenshot it for future laughs - it’s a good one!
We’re looking for clever, creative or just downright hilarious messages that bring joy to workplace milestones. Bonus points if you use GIFs, photos or audio.
Can I use AI to help write my message?
You could... but we’d rather you didn’t.
This is about real workplace humour from real humans. (Also, AI isn’t great with inside jokes.)
Do I need to add my email in order to enter?
